Old Florida Celebration of the Arts
Cedar Key, Fl
April 28 - 29, 2012
Here is me at Cedar Key. Thankfully the photographer for the art association came by before my skin had really started glistening. It was a hot one for sure, but a great weekend. Our hotel room was just a few steps from my booth, the weather was gorgeous, and the people were there to support the arts. I met some awesome folks - both patrons and artists. I was admiring another artist's beautiful watercolors, and he gave me a print. When I got back to my day job the following week, I was admiring the water color I had purchased a number of years ago, which is hanging on the wall behind my desk, and lo and behold it was the same artist - Gene Rizzo. Check out his work - he is a fantastic watercolorist. And I met another new friend - Mary May Witte - a fellow acrylic painter. She won best in 2D at the show, and she was gracious enough to exchange paintings with me. She is an awesome lady and great artist, and I look forward to our new friendship. I sold quite a few paintings to people who really loved them, and I acquired two new pieces of art. It was a really good weekend.
doing a happy dance for you that you sold some more paintings...its no wonder, they look fabulous !!!! You ought to go market that painting in the photo to some local coffee shops...I bet they would snatch it up quick !!!ReplyDelete
You look so pretty in your booth too. Hugs
Thank you Debbie! If only we HAD some local coffee shops!!! lol - Maybe I'll ship it out your way and let you peddle my paintings for me! There's a much bigger market there than here. xoxoReplyDelete
